✅Looking forward… from September 5 to 10, I was in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world. Yet, on a personal level, I also know Burundi as a country filled with enthusiastic, young, and entrepreneurial people.
✅ I have been visiting regularly since 2010—initially through my initiative ‘Africa Business Coaching’ and, since 2025, through the services provided by PUM.
✅ However, there is a strong possibility that PUM will have to discontinue its advisory services there after July 2027. That was the reason for my visit: to explore how we can continue supporting this new generation of young entrepreneurs with business advice from experienced Dutch entrepreneurs.
In Bujumbura, I held brainstorming sessions with the Dutch Embassy, the Chamber of Commerce (CFCIB), AfricaTradeMark, Enabel, and SNV.
✅ I hope we can find new private donors in time who view this young, entrepreneurial generation as a new opportunity; we have already been able to assist more than 20 companies recently.
